Project Overview:

Sophora is the landscape design for the Swashya site office located in South Bopal, Ahmedabad. Spanning 890 sq. meters, the project draws its name and inspiration from ancient botanical wisdom—Sophora, symbolizing longevity and harmony with nature. The design honors the site’s existing mature trees, transforming them into the foundation of a thoughtfully layered landscape that offers shade, serenity, and a welcoming environment. In Ahmedabad’s arid climate, Sophora stands as a cool, green oasis where function and form intertwine effortlessly.

Sustainability Features:

• Introduction of Plumeria Alba – Carefully selected Plumeria Alba trees add seasonal beauty and elegance through their delicate white blossoms and soft fragrance.

• Layered Planting & Texture Play – Ornamental shrubs, groundcovers, and carefully positioned greenery surround the logo wall and sculptures, enriching the space with depth, texture, and color contrast.

• Dynamic Pathway Materials – A thoughtful blend of wooden decking and interlocking stone paving defines the site’s pathways, enhancing movement while visually breaking monotony.

• Sculptural Accents & Lighting – Artistic sculptures and soft yellow lighting are placed throughout the landscape to create focal points and evoke a warm, inviting evening ambiance.

• Functional Outdoor Flow – The design seamlessly supports both the operational needs of the site office and its aesthetic presence, creating a landscape that is both utilitarian and experiential.

• Tree-Centric Design Philosophy – Existing trees like Saptaparni, neem, and sapodilla are preserved and celebrated, providing natural shade and anchoring the entire site’s microclimate.
